Things You can do in Your free time in Rovinj
Limited by the size of our campsite we can’t offer activities or sports, health centres or controlled and animated areas for minors. The beaches, bike paths, tennis courts as well as many other sports fields and a small marina are located from 500m to 3km away from the campsite.
Ulika camping is ideal for those who are seeking for rest while the activities can be done in the neighbourhood. Over the years we have noticed that our camp is often taken as a base for free climbers and bikers, because we are safe base, peaceful and suitable for their daily activities.
Free climbing – near Rovinj there are 3 places for free climbing. The closest is Zlatni rt located directly on the sea and surrounded by beautiful clean beaches, ideal for refreshing after a hard climb. The other two places are within a 15 km ride from Rovinj, in the Lim Fjord and near Dvigrad. We will explain You how to get there.
Cycling – it is very practical to have a bicycle because it is certainly the ideal way to reach from the camping to the beaches, supermarkets, center etc. In Rovinj there are 3 marked bike routes that You can discover. You can arrange daily excursions cycling along the beaches, through the countryside, the olive groves, the natural park Palud and other similar sites. The places around Rovinj are very special and shine with all their beauty especially in spring and autumn when is the best time to experience them on a bicycle. In Rovinj during the summer months the bike is the best vehicle of transport because You have no parking problems and You have the opportunity to go everywhere, as driving in the historic centre and through the beaches is not allowed. On most of the beaches you can’t go by car and parking lots are sometimes located at over 500 meters. From the city centre of Rovinj in the direction to Pula You have more than 20 km of trails along the beach reserved for pedestrians and bikes.
The guests who do not take their bikes with them, can always rent a bike at our reception.
Walking – numerous of walking paths along the coast provide a romantic atmosphere, while breathing a fresh air walking in a beautiful green surrounding overlooking the crystal clear sea. Spend the night on the shore, walk, drink and have fun… feel the real Mediterranean “easy living“.
